Stranger Drawings, Houston

The Stranger Drawing Project begins with the solicitation of pictures using online and print ads. Chosen artists are then asked to pick a "stranger" from the submitted pictures to create a portrait. The project ends when the strangers attend the exhibition to pick up their free portrait. Here, they see themselves on the wall and have the opportunity to meet the artists and other strangers.

This is the original call to strangers to participate in the project:

Stranger Drawings, Houston is the second Stranger Drawing Project. The first can be viewed here. For the Glassell Alumni Exhibition, I will accept photographs of people who do not know me. Then, I will invite Houston artists to make drawings of these photographs. At the opening of the exhibit, those who submitted photographs can come to pick up their drawing, have their photograph taken with the drawing, and meet the artist.qualifications
